Isn't he cute? He's a kitchen nutcracker, with his knives, ladle, bread boards, bottles and bowls. My friend Cherrie gave me this for Christmas. Thank you, Cherrie!

How sweet! And useful. You'll think of your generous friend each time you see him.
Tasting Spoons is mostly about food - about recipes, new and old, the art of entertaining, remembrances of fun times, even a bit about books and travel. But mostly it's about my collection of recipes, gathered over a lifetime of cooking for family and friends. I've been working at writing a cookbook for my family, but this blog seems like an easier way.
This is a tough job - but here are my favorites of the recipes I've posted to date. To find them and/or to read the stories about them, go to my recipe page HERE:
A website called clustrmaps.com offers this cool map telling me where people are from in the world who visit my blog. I can't TELL you how exciting it is to me that I have visitors from all over the world. Thanks!
